Since January 2021, China has imposed strict COVID quarantine rules in the world for all inbound travellers, with Beijing's 14 + 7 + 7 rule being the toughest across China (The People's Government of Beijing Municipality, 2021). Under this rule, all inbound travellers must undergo a 14-day centralised medical quarantine, one week of home isolation, and another week of health monitoring while bearing all incurred costs themselves.
