Dimitris Kollias, an intern at Global Policy, is a postgraduate student at Durham University (MSc Defence, Development, and Diplomacy). He holds a BA (Hons.) in International and European Studies from the University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Greece. In the past, he has served as a political and social analyst in NRDC-gr (trainee), a junior analyst at the Embassy of Greece to the United Kingdom (Press and Communications Office) and a junior policy advisor and trainee at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic (A3 Directorate for South-eastern Europe Countries). His academic interests include geopolitics, theories of democracy, the social imaginary and heritage and the legacies of conflicts.
